OUR STORY

Gary Suppes grew up in Pico Rivera, Ca. and spent most of his young adult years applying his artistic talents toward wood working, designing and building beautiful furniture. In 1981 he moved to Pioneertown, Ca. where he still resides today. He took a job at Mock Brothers Saddlery where he eagerly learned the art of saddlemaking. Adventually, in 1989, he opened his own business doing what he loves. Then, in 2007, his workshop and everything in it tragicaly burned to the ground in the Sawtooth fire that ripped through Pioneertown. But, with the help of friends and family he was able to rebuild his business and has since opened his saddle shop, Chaparrosa Outfitters, on Historical Mane Street in Pioneertown, where he designs and creates his hand-crafted custom saddles and western tack today.
